MCi flexible waveguide sections allow for flexible movement in both the E and H waveguide planes. Flexible waveguides are available in a wide range of high power component sizes, ranging from WR90 to WR2300. Various flex sections are available to custom fit the desired configuration. Additionally, all materials and surface are designed for longevity under heavy loads. If you wish to discuss your flex section requirements, contact us at sales@microwavetechniques.com – we look forward to hearing about your project and finding you the best solution.

Flexible Waveguide: Design & Manufacture
Typically, flexible waveguide sections are constructed of corrugated materials and all seams are braze-welded. Flat or gasket EIA flanges are then welded to both ends. MCi offers copper alloy, aluminum and stainless steel materials as standard. If you have a custom application or design in mind, please feel free to contact our sales team.
- Full Flex Style
- Anodized or Painted
- Custom Flange Sizes
- High Power Capability
- Low VSWR
- Corrects Misalignments
- Tolerances per EIA standards
- Fully tested design
We recommend utilizing flex sections as a way to mitigate RF system flange misalignments. Similarly, we believe flexible waveguide is a viable solution for instances in which expansion and contraction in a microwave feed must be absorbed.
Micro Communications: A Microwave Techniques Company
As a Microwave Techniques company, we proudly endorse the products of our partners at Mega Industries. Mega Industries manufactures a complete line of rectangular flex waveguide sections and associated components, including: straights, offsets, sweeps and twists. Mega provides full design services for factory formed flex sections that ensures accuracy and superior electrical performance.
Previously, Mega was our parent company. As a result of the 2020 merger between Mega, FMT, MCi and FXR – we are now a proud member of the Microwave Techniques group. To learn more about Mega’s well-established flex designs, and their extensive range of other microwave devices, visit their website!
