Waveguide pressure windows are used to contain various gasses including pressurized air and SF6. Similarly, pressure windows are also used to prevent any undesirable contaminants (such as moisture) from entering RF or microwave systems. MCi manufactures a range of waveguide pressure windows from WR90 to WR2300. We have designs for high-pressure and high-vacuum environments. Windows are available with or without gas ports.

MCi offers waveguide window solutions utilizing rexolite, ceramic and a variety of other dielectric materials. Our designs ensure minimum transmission loss and maximum power handling.
Windows: Designs, Materials & Interface Options
Pressure Windows for standard rectangular waveguide sizes and “pillbox”-type RF windows are available. Our window designs are available with a variety of materials. From PTFE, Alumina and Beryllium Oxide, to Teflon impregnated fiberglass – MCi’s advanced waveguide pressure window designs span a range of applications.
- WR90 to WR2300+
- Standard & custom flange interfaces
- Extensive material choices
- Air & liquid cooling options
- Gas ports available
- Minimum transmission loss
- Maximum power handling
- Designs suitable for high-vacuum & high pressure applications
MCi has a long-standing history of incorporating both air cooling and liquid cooling into our microwave components. Generally, cooling style is a decision based upon average power levels. With a full complement of flange interfaces, flanges can be interchanged between CPR and UG types.
Additionally, we offer lab standard flanges – SLAC, DESY, Varian, LIL – among many others. For custom assemblies, please contact our sales team at sales@microwavetechniques.com.
