SSL Calibration Kits
SSL Calibration Kits are traditional style cal kits. SSL stands for Short Short Load. In SSL style kits, we use offset short circuits of 1/8 λ and 3/8 λ to represent the calibrated open and calibrated short circuit. Three impedance standards and one transmission standard are utilized to produce a full 2-port calibration. TRL Calibration Kits
Our partners at Mega Industries also offer a TRL style calibration kit. TRL stands for Thru Reflect Line. In this two port kit, we utilize 3 standards to define the calibrated reference plane. Typically, two precision waveguide to type-N female transitions are used. In addition, a flush short circuit and a precision 1/4 λ waveguide section to provide a balanced response over the waveguide band.
